[ DESCRIPTION ]
Intake system is made in pre-preg carbon fiber, cured in autoclave. This is the only complete intake system for 6-cylinder 981 and 982 (718) Porsche Caymans that exists on the market.
With built-in snorkels, it facilitates the air ducting from the higher point on the side of the car, getting a lower temperature in the intake system, insuring more laminar air flow, minimizing turbulence, and maximizing performance. With extensive testing and development, this intake system is engineered to deliver optimal results for your Porsche Cayman.
The system is fully reversible and requires no cutting or modifying of any original parts (exception: trimming of the plastic cover under the rollhoop). In addition, it ensures a great induction noise from the engine right behind the drivers ears. It supports an OEM+ look, with stunning carbon fiber appearance in a variety of finishes, all providing great UV protection.
Lower existing side ducts will now serve as additional air-cooling of the engine, just like on the GT4 RS.

[ ORIGINAL & QUIET VERSION ]
The original top cover is constructed from rubber-core carbon fiber. In contrast, the quieter version incorporates additional plastic inserts that create a cavity, allowing for the integration of noise-insulating foam.
At peak RPM and wide-open throttle, the original intake cover produces a sound level of 107 dB. The quieter top cover reduces sound power levels by approximately 30%.
For comparison, the original GT4 RS was measured at 110 dB inside the cabin.

Based on the results of dynamometer tests, our intake system demonstrates a modest enhancement in power and torque attributed to the incorporation of high-flow air filters. However, it's worth noting that these findings do not incorporate the influence of cooler intake air conditions experienced during track usage.
Graphical representations of power and torque reflect direct measurements at the wheel hub of a 981 GT4. The peak power and torque readings at the crankshaft are as follows:

[ TWO OPTIONS OF SOUND LEVELS ]
ORIGINAL
The original top cover is constructed from rubber-core carbon fiber. This design reduces high-frequency noise while preserving a fully immersive intake sound experience. It maintains an exceptional level of responsiveness and driver connection to every input.

QUIETER
In contrast, the quieter version incorporates additional plastic inserts (blue) that create a cavity, allowing for the integration of noise-insulating foam. Additional insulation further reduces high-frequency tones while enhancing a deeper sound profile across the entire RPM range. At partial throttle, the sound is more refined and subdued, providing a more relaxed driving experience when the car is not being pushed to its limits.
The quieter top cover reduces sound intensity levels by approximately 30%, bringing the peak logarithmic value down to 102 dB.

Do aftermarket plenums, runners and throttle bodies fit your system?
We will test the fitment of various aftermarket runners, plenums and throttle bodies in combination with our system on a 981 and 718 shortly.
According to the 3D model tho, our system clears a majority of aftermarket performance intake parts as long as you have stock air filter housings.
Does your system clear aftermarket roll-cages?
The system avoids all stock roll-cages and most aftermarket ones, if they are not lower than stock.

It draws in colder, denser air from a higher position, unaffected by the warmer side air emanating from heated front brakes. Additionally, it features a larger filter area compared to the RS, resulting in a reduced intake drag coefficient, a characteristic evident in the upcoming dyno run data. For those seeking even more power, our system seamlessly integrates with a majority of aftermarket plenums and throttle bodies, unlocking further performance potential.
